About EBS Global
Cold-formed steel, designed and made in Barrie
EBS Global (Engineered Building Systems Corp.) designs and manufactures cold-formed steel building materials and prefabricated wall, floor and roof systems. We roll our own steel sections at our plant at 220 John Street in Barrie, Ontario, and build them into panels and trusses at the same plant.
We work with contractors, developers, architects and homeowners on residential and commercial buildings, modular housing and post-disaster construction. Our team supports projects from design through production and installation.
Designed to Canadian standards
We design to CSA S136-20 for cold-formed steel and to the National Building Code of Canada 2020.
What we make
Framing sections, panels and cladding
Metal studs & track
C-studs and track for load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls, rolled on our line in Barrie.
Prefabricated steel panels
Wall panels, roof trusses and floor systems built in our plant and delivered ready to set.
Furring & carrying channels
Furring channels for level wall and ceiling finishes, and carrying channels that hold up suspended ceilings.
Roof deck
B-Deck and N-Deck for roofs and floors, in 16 to 22 gauge and cut to custom lengths.
Metal roof sheets
Corrugated, standing seam and shingle-profile sheets for houses, farm buildings and commercial roofs.
Metal wall cladding
Cold-formed steel cladding in a 250 mm module, pre-painted or coated, for facades and envelopes.

Our story
From Dubai to Barrie
EBS Global began in Dubai and expanded to Barrie, Ontario, where we design and manufacture cold-formed steel systems.

- March 20, 2025
Our plant at 220 John Street opens. Ontario cabinet ministers, Barrie's mayor and local MPs attended the ribbon-cutting, and CTV News covered it. Read about the opening.

A six-storey residential building in London, hexagonal modular classrooms for Parry Sound High School, an ice hockey arena in Sudbury, and residential work in Niagara and North York.
