Metal studs are the vertical members of a cold-formed steel wall, and track runs along the top and bottom to hold them in place. Together they frame walls, ceilings and partitions in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
We roll both on our own line in Barrie from galvanized steel, in gauges from 12 to 25. Studs are C-sections, and track is a T or U-channel sized to take them. Web depths run from 3-5/8 to 12 inch with a 1.63 or 2.5 inch flange. The full section and gauge table is on the product data page.
Steel studs do not warp, shrink or rot, termites do not damage them, and they are non-combustible. Each piece is cut to a consistent length, so walls come out straight and less material is wasted.
